The services provided by the mechanical engineering department are not direct services rendered to tax payers and it renders and indirect service while providing the other services. About 180 employees are working attached to this department.

Occupy vehicles and equipment (more than 250) possesses to municipal council in an appropriate and productive way while engaging in repairs and maintenance activities.
Maintain files on equipment, log books, running charts and obtaining vehicle license and insurance
Activities related to maintenance of AC machines, generators, lifts, crematory, grounds and other electrical accessories
Procurement activities to buy vehicle parts and maintenance and management of the store
Provide technical instructions and assistance to other local government institutions and affiliated institutions
